Oooooh, looks like I might have to have a talk with my Godson.  That's very, very nice.

Heh-heh, I think I'll be talking to him first!  :)

This is a really special piece for the Warden family and I can't wait to see it in person.  Matthew made a trip to JB's with me last year to pick up some oversized commissions and on the drive back home he asked if he could get one of the big pieces someday.  We spent the better part of an hour just chatting about it and came up with the general idea of Flash vs. Grodd (front and center, as the Flash is Matt's favorite character), Batman vs. Joker, and Green Lantern vs. Sinestro.  I sent this simple description to JB and he did the rest!

Matthew and I are making another trip to JB's this weekend and the commission will be a total surprise to him!  When I mentioned the trip to Matthew last night he said he was looking forward to seeing Sam again; I think this commission might just trump playing fetch with Sam (even to a 7 year-old)!  :)

Many thanks to JB for this very special addition to the Warden family collection!

Jim

That is a wonderful piece. I'm partial to Green Lantern, but the Gorilla Grodd is the best of a superbly drawn cast of characters.

Do you still put "Barney" in with your rubble?

***

Only when asked. As I was this time. (Don't strain
your eyes, tho. Nearly impossible to see at this
resolution.)

Great Picture.

Did Jim or JB come up with incorporating the name into the building?

JB-- totally awesome. You've been the man for as long as I can remember.  Your work just gets better.

How fun!

(I wondered who would be in this shot, based on the thread title. And since I
assumed it was a solo shot, i had no luck guessing.)

And I think a "John Byrne presents" title would be excellent! And DC could
have it, as soon as they say yes to an on-going Generations title.

Too bad they're letting that slip by.

Thanks again for sharing the fun, JB!
