The flexible shoulder and elbow areas of the space suits reminds me of Major Matt Mason, the beloved toy-line of my youth.

••

Major Matt Mason made a huge impression on me when I was a teenager -- mostly one of frustration!

I'd stopped playing with toys when the series was introduced, in 1966 -- and in those days, for most people, buying toys for any OTHER reason was not a real option -- but I checked out the Major and his accouterments almost every time I found myself in the toy department of Woodward's, the big department store where I bought most of my plastic model kits in those days.

One of the things I liked about the Matt Mason designs was those accordion joints, which were reminiscent of even older, fantasy designs I seen as a kid. Like these guys, from DESTINATION MOON…

Something Wally Wood took even further, for some of his creepier aliens at EC and elsewhere. . .

I love the idea of a space series with a little dirt like Star Wars had, but with a far more down-to-Earth feel. This looks really fun and different. We need a little functional sci-fi in this world. Stories not solved by reversing the polarity on something and then breaking for a cup of tea.

Looks great, JB, as always.  If your name is on it, I buy it.  Done!

And now I'll have Deep Purple's "Space Truckin'" running on a continuous loop in my head all day.

I am excited, but already thinking that it is going to be hard to get my hands in one of those unless I buy digital.
It would be nice if IDW could sell it digital and have (like movies) option to change the language (e.g. English to Portuguese).
It does not sound like something too difficult and would allow readers from other countries that cannot read in English to increase the client base.
Digital distribution of comics is the future of the industry IMO. Immediate access and allow us to get what we want when we are in the mood to read comics.
