I'm REALLY surprised about Atom. Good news, indeed.

There was a rumor about a Batwoman book with Gail, but there goes Atom
and that's really exciting- never knew much about the character too, so that
is also very good. Hope that inker Trevor Scott's gonna be more close to JB
stuff than Nelson was on Action ! JB : did you had a word to say on the
choice of the inker ?

Concerning the Superman one, actually funny to see JB 'working' with
Palmiotti & Gray, but if their scripts on Jonah Hex is any indication that is
gonna be good.

The Atom isn't my favorite character but I'm happy to see JB get the job.  I'll check it out.  It'll be interesting to see what Gail does with the Atom.  I don't really want to read about the Atoms wife, but I suppose there has to be some of that.

Maybe you can channel Gil Kane JB.  :)  You are moving more toward that look with every picture.

I just want JB inking his own pencils on both projects.

I don't. I like the collaborations when they work and the inker doesn't out-
and-out redraw JB's pencils.

JB-

Wow!!! Congratulations. This is great, great news. Just a clarification - you
are on board as the regular artist on the new Atom series, right, just not for
this special, 80 page giant?

When was the last time that the Atom had an ongoing series?

I bought (and loved) Gil Kanes Sword of the Atom stuff, but don't recall any extended series since then.

Great news about The Atom!  I read about the new Atom title recently on Newsarama, stating that it would be by Gail Simone and Trevor Scott.  At the time I thought it odd, as I think I've only ever known Trevor Scott to be an inker.

I guess they must have missed the penciller's name out, but what a name it is!

Here's hoping for a long run.

At the end of the 80's there was a 24 or 26 issues series called The Power of
The Atom by non other than Roger Stern

There was Power of the Atom from the late 80's, that ran for a couple of years.  Part of that series set the stage for the Atom storyline that later ran in Ostrander's Suicide Squad.
