John, reading thru various posts you've done since my joining the forum.I've noticed how you've met quite alot of famous people. So i'got curious has there been anyone that you've wanted to meet and when you finally did meet them. They were excited about meeting you just as much if not more so as you were to meet them?

One "famous person" literally jumped up and down with excitement upon meeting me. I'll spare him the embarassment of mentioning his name!

In general, the whole "fame" thing has been a eye-opening experience. I have been surprised by how many top flight actors, for instance, have expressed how really cool they think my job is. I guess no matter where you are in life, somebody's grass is still greener.

ha!... its a "him".... well a mistake is always possible. Most of all with Candy Rice.

(Who could be sexy if she wanted but obviously does every possible thing to avoid it.) I saw ice cubes that were hotter.

I think it has to do with the golden age factor.  Many of us have been John Byrne fans since we were kids and stayed fans the rest of our lives.  How many movie stars have you been a fan of since childhood?  How many childhood sports stars are still playing today?

My favorites are/were: Reggie Jackson, Dan Marino, Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro.  Given the opportunity, I would rather meet John Byrne.  He has had the bigger impact on me personally.

I am trying to post my first picture.

This my wedding from 1999.  My wife is my favorite "famous person".  She played "Molly" in the movie "Annie".

I've had Pro Football players and WWE wrestlers tell me I have a "dream job".

I'd be glad to trade my salary for theirs! 8).

For me (people that I like, not people that i met):

Actors/Actress/Directors: john Wayne, Jean Marais, Errol Flynn, Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Olivia De Havilland, Quantin Tarantino, George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, John Ford, Michael Curtiz.

Comics: John Byrne, Chris Claremont, David Michelinie, John Romita Jr, Bob Layton, Roger Stern, Bill Mantlo, Frank Miller, Ann Nocenti.

My favorite writers are all dead excepted maybe Michael Moorcock

But I'm not big on the idea of meeting them (even for those who are still alive, and for comics, I don't go to signings. Not interested.). I prefer to talk on-line with my favorite comics creators than see them for 30 seconds after having stood in file for 1 hour. I love message boards and chats.

I met Malcolm McDowell once, getting a haircut, in LA.

In a very crowded auditorium, I got an autograph from Umberto Eco.  Later, at the airport, I gave him a Corto Maltese comic I had with me, as I knew he is a comic book fan.

In the Tokyo film festival, I saw Steven Spielberg and Tom Cruise up on the stage.  Also, Jean-Luc Besson.
