My head seems filled with all sorts of disco songs lately. It's that "I Was Made For Lovin' You" song that sets me off on that road!

Its carnival time in Trinidad so we're getting a steady dose of new music. Every year the song that's played the most on the road during the 2 days of festivities gets the much coveted title "Road March". These songs are purposely designed to have enough energy to keep masqueraders dancing for 2 days on the street in the hot sun.  The one that is perpetually stuck in my head these days is called Famalay (family) I think its a contender. For those of you in the cold this may warm you up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pD4lqYEwmiI

“The Gambler”, by Kenny Rogers. Triggered by a visit to a nearby restaurant where one of the staff never seems to miss an opportunity to tell me she thinks I look like him.

Ugh. Hopefully she’s referring to pre-plastic surgery Kenny.

"Voodoo Chile" by Jimi Hendrix. But this is often the case. Possibly my favorite rock song. That riff still sounds like it could conjure up a fire demon.

Brian -- yes, that one. I should've included the "subtitle."

Of course, all of Electric Ladyland is classic.

Curious fact: the original version was a Christmas song...

For some reason the theme for Total Recall popped into my head this evening and I found myself humming it while pounding my belly for the rhythm. Give it a try, it works!
