Thanks JB, for showing us that step-by-step. Your IRON FIST work was what made me a fan and it's nice to see you still have a little love for young Danny, as well.

Was glad to learn about the Pitt drawing pens. I am going to buy some at Amazon.com.  I have used other brand names of brush pens, however this one offers a wide variety of lengths.  I love the thick/thin line quality of line that's in John Byrne's art.

I am amazed that you put in the floor after the figures and you used no grid. This is just so cool!!!

…you used no grid.

••

?

The grid was the first thing I laid down. It's the ONLY thing in the first image.

I bid on a color Space 1999 cover a few years back.  I wasn't far off from winning -- but alas, I did not win.

I'd love to own a fully colored piece.

JB -- is coloring something you would consider in a commission request?

That's what I figured based on your "time" comment above.

Alas...   :-(

ARGH!!! Between my terrible eye sight and the computer, for me, the first panel is coming up completely white.

Your work has not suffered with age at all. My eyes are getting worse and my hands do seem to shake more. I know my ability has declined. But I think your work has grown better with age. That commission you did for Jason, just blew me away. I know you have people all the time telling you how amazing your work is, but it bears repeating. Your work is amazing and the industry we all love, is richer for your talent. Thanks for working so hard continuing to hone your craft!

Cool. Just discovered this for the second time. Very interesting to see you pencil in "outlines" but do all your rendering in ink stage.

Amazing to see you work on one figure at a time. I'd try to rough in all at once. Must be why I can never draw complex scenes...;-)
