I'm mulling over a possible commission idea that would involve 3 female Marvel characters versus 3 female DC characters.  This is making me consider which ladies from each company match up well.  So far all I know is I'd like to see She-Hulk versus Power Girl.  What do the rest of you think about who would make good match ups?

Who from DC would you have face the Invisible Woman?

Scarlet Witch?  (Besides Zatanna?)

Storm?

Etc.

I'd do:

Invisible Woman vs. Wonder Woman (Sue blocking a punch or the lasso with a force field)

Storm vs. Zatanna

Scarlet Witch or Wasp vs. Black Canary

Namorita (since She-Hulk is not an option) vs Big Barda
Tigra
(evoking thoughts of Cheetah) vs Wonder Woman
Valkyrie
vs Mary Marvel
The Wasp
vs Elastigirl
Storm vs Hawkgirl
Sprite vs Nudge
Snowbird
vs Zatanna
Aurora
vs Black Canary
Firestar
vs Starfire

Cool suggestions...but wouldn't Namorita seriously get her butt handed to her by Barda?  I don't even think it would be close.  I love Namorita, but I recall her as having only a small fraction of Namor's strength.

Part of my problem in this situation is thinking up matchups that would be really close and could easily go to either combatant.

Not to drift too much, but are the Marvel "Marvels" even close to the same power levels as the DC "Marvels"?

Zatanna vs Scarlet Witch

Powergirl vs She-Hulk

Catwoman vs Blackcat

Each has a correspondiing power that would make for an interesting touch.

This thread is showing a trend towards crossover-itis. You know how that works -- fans say they want to see DC vs Marvel, but it ends up being Hawkeye vs Green Arrow, the Flash vs Quicksilver, Atom vs Ant Man, and so on.

Remember, what made SUPERMAN vs THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, or BATMAN & CAPTAIN AMERICA work is that the characters were very different in nature.
