I am shocked and saddened beyond measure.  My childhood wasn't complete without my memories of Dave's Legion of Superheroes and X-men, (the real X-men, back when they were a true labor of love and not an excuse to release bad films and even worse spin-off comics)

May his soul rest in peace.

I guess comic book heaven now has another awesome, kickass angel.
He will be missed. :-(

I've only begun to really appreciate Cockrum the last decade or so. A great talent gone too soon.

He will indeed be missed.
