This was the first issue of the series that I bought, solely because of the little Iron Man head in the lower right corner of the cover.  Turns out I really liked the book, and sought out the few back issues right away.  I then stayed with the book until JB left.  Great story.  Great art*.  What a winning combination.

*This was the point at which I really started to like JB's inking.  Not sure what he was doing different here from before, but it seemed a lot "cleaner" than what I remembered from his FF run.

For me the most memorable scene from this issue is the one where Namor stops Reed from capturing one of the therma-rays.

I agree with Wallace, that scene is memorable. Especially Namor taking off to stop it, because he has foreseen that this will happen.

And yes, I am in and have caught up (actually one issue ahead at the moment).

And it is indeed every bit as good as you've been telling me guys. And actually better than I remembered it.

Gotta love how the first page reminds me of the intros to the 1960's Batman TV show.

Yeah, the recap on page 1 was very well done.

As was the rest of the issue. Great use of NY's local heroes!

The duo-shade really made Iron Man look impressive and just a little bit scary.
