This is very sad news indeed Brian, and all of us here on the JBF are saddened by this loss to your family, and our own internet family here on this board. Gregg was always "Snakes on a Plane" in my mind as that was his avatar whenever I read his posts, and that avatar should be officially retired from this board in his memory. My deepest condolensces for your family and Gregg's friends during this "holiday" season. R.I.P Gregg Allinson.....

I'm truly stunned to hear this. Gregg and I shared an apartment for a year a couple of years ago. While we were not the closest of friends, I always respected and admired his passion for comic books, music, wrestling, sci-fi and literature. I fondly remember our many discussions on the subject of comics. He really knew his stuff, especially the history of the medium, it's characters and creators. We didn't always agree, but I respected his well thought out opinions. He was a good guy.
