An all-time favorite. I had a minature version of this issue that came with an audio cassette as a kid, and I loved it. A fantastic summation of the Pre-Crisis Batman's history.

(EDIT: $#%^%#!%^!!!! I didn't see that question Gerry posed to JB until after I posted this message. Apologies.)

Thanks for posting these pages.  It's a great way to close out the year for sure.  I remember going to the candy store as a kid trying to find a copy, but for some reason they were never shipped any issues.  I'm glad I finally have a chance to at least read part of it.

The first issue of this was my first exposure to JB's art. It's still one of my
favorite miniseries. JB, what's the story behind this -- why did you not do
the other issues?

Wow.  Can you imagine owning the original artwork for page 13?

What I wouldn't give to see Byrne on Batman again.  The last Batman commission was such a tease.  Here is hoping for many more commissions of The Dark Knight

I remember seeing page one sell on ebay this year for about $600 - might have been even less than that. It happens to be the very first page that JB ever drew Batman professionally. If I came across it before it actually sold, I would have definitely snatched it up.
