Jb, would you have worked on this if it was offered?

"BENDIS: And John will never know that you and me are always like, “Come back to Marvel.” He doesn’t want us to. He never asks us to. He hates me. He won’t even return my e-mails. He despises me, but you and me, every once in a while we throw his name out there to see if we can do it. It never works.
BREVOORT: Yeah. Illuminati. He would’ve been the perfect guy to do that. "

I have no idea what this is. I don't recall Bendis ever

You would have been perfect for Illuminati, though, JB, since it flashed back to some of Marvel's glory days.
Maybe then I would have bought it.

JB probably gets dozens of emails from people claiming to be Bendis every day! :-)

Damn. PLEASE go back to Marvel and straighten things up, JB! I'll mow your lawn for a month! I'll take your dog for a walk! It's time!

I can't go back to Marvel. Marvel doesn't exist.

Well, if you went back to Marvel, at least a part of it would technically exist again; the part that did classic runs on X-Men, FF, Alpha Flight, Avengers, Namor, etc.
You could usher in a flood of talented veteran creators coming back to the Marvel fold, and consequently, their books would be readable for fans like me again.

Ick, no. I think the concept is crap to being with. The last thing I need is an artist I follow everywhere drawing it. It'd make my poor little head explode... Actually Bendis (avoid at all costs) and Byrne (follow everywhere) on an MU project in the first place would make my poor little head explode... :)

Let me comment, since I didn't earlier, that I agree that Illuminati, Civil War, and all that nonsense, is indeed poorly thought out material. I just want JB back at Marvel. Period.

A lot of those "veteran creators" seem to have wandered off into their own spaces, that have not a whole lot to do with the work they formerly did at Marvel.
