In your opinion, what have been the best covers for Marvels' Amazing Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, Uncanny X-Men, and The Mighty Thor, and what have been the best covers for DC's Batman (Detective) and Superman (Action)?

For those interested collectors who visit Mile High, My Comic Shop.com or the like on more than usual occasion, though, true this may be impossible. Issue numbers would suffice.

My favorite cover EVER is, and probably ever will be, Uncanny X-Men
#141 (Days of Future Past). If I still am a comics fan, I owe it to the
impact it caused on my young mind (yes, JB, you are to blame!).

Interesting thoughts come to mind with threads like these, as I wonder what influences these decisions.
Do I like specific covers for sentimental reasons? Can I judge them without sentimentality? How much effect does my overall love of a specific artist's work have on my choices? How much does the story in the issue influencemy choices?

Some thoughts that come to mind right away:
Fantastic Four #1.
Several of Neal Adams' Batman covers.
JB's Superman #1

This thread isn't big enough for me to say what my favorite covers are. :) Just too freaking many.

I just started browsing around the Grand Comics Database looking at FF covers...and can't pick one. These early FF Kirby covers are all masterpieces! Looking at them all lined up together here is amazing!
