For whatever reason I don't really think of the Von Erichs and Freebirds as tag teams.  I guess I consider them factions (even though, obviously, The Freebirds were really just a tag team.)

Thanks, David. I'll have to try and pick this DVD up soon.

I use to love watching wrestling as a kid heck my Nana use to watch. But I haven't enjoyed watching it since WCW folded. WWF was fun when I was a kid The Hart Foundation The British Bulldogs, Roddy Pipper, Superfly,  The Polish Power, The Road Warriors. Then Wcw where I became a big fan of Ric Flair , Sting Luger, The Horseman, The Steiners, DDP Goldberg. Ever since thou I really don't enjoy what passes for wrestling in the WWE. The only time I watch now is if I catch TNA on tv.

Think he might be the first MITB failure at Summerslam. I think Lesnar will be the one to end Punk's reign.

Lesnar will never be champion.  He's got too much heat with Vince and he is only signed to do so many tv shows and no house shows.  How could he may a champion when he refuses to travel? Plus Lesnar has hinted he may go back to UFC whether he was serious or not they may have been enough to spur Vince against every signing a contract like Lesnar's again.  Lesnar got to his endorsement deals added in thats why he wears the Jimmy Johns shirts big money and very limited appearances.

I figure Cena takes the belt and Punk chases him till Summerslam.  I don't see Punk getting the belt back.  With Raw going three hours they basically have to pult the belt back on Cena and have him appear at the top of the hour every hour for ratings. Punk has never drew the ratings and that is why is often defending the belt in the middle of PPVs and Raws.

My prediction is that Cena defeats Punk at SummerSlam and Lesnar defeats Triple H at SummerSlam. This will set up a rematch between the two at Royal Rumble. Lesnar will defeat Cena for the title. He will then not defend the belt until Wrestlemania. Where he will face the Rock. The Rock will win the title at Mania and drop it to Cena a month later. Triple H rematches against Lesnar in a loser must leave WWE match after Mania.

I don't think he was given the chance since they, in the majority of cases, put Cena on last.

I'm with you up until Royal Rumble. I think Cena will hold onto the title against Brock there and go on for Rock vs Cena II at Wrestlemania...with the title being at stake this time. I predict they'll go with Lesnar/Undertaker at WM with Undertaker extending the streak.

The rumour for mania is:

Brock vs. Rock
Cena vs. Taker
CM Punk vs. Austin

And where exactly is that rumor from?  I seriously doubt it.

They're not going to put the title on the line between two special attractions. And Cena I have a hard time believing Cena will lose his third high profile Wrestlemania match in a row.

Punk and Austin has been speculated about since Punk was tweeting about him last year, so that could happen if Austin's up for it.

The Rock has made the claim he will be WWE champ again. Having him win it from Lesnar makes the most money for WWE. Works since Rock put him over early in his career to win the Unified title. Rock defends the title the next month in a Cena rematch will also make big money. A rematch of Cena/Lesnar (which didn't draw as much money as they hoped) won't do as much business at Mania.

Cena against Taker also makes sense as a farewell to the Taker as he is a guy who won't hurt Taker in the match.

Austin has said if he would come out of retirement he would face Punk.

If this is Undertaker's last WM, then I can see them doing the Cena match. If not, then Cena//Rock II is a bigger match than Rock/Brock (Brock hasn't done anything for ratings and his return PPV drew disappointing numbers). I think that's been the agreement between Vince and Rock and Cena all along and that's why Cena took the loss to a "part timer" (at best) at WM last year.

Brock and Taker have some history from their "scuffle" at UFC awhile back. I still think Brock/Taker, and Cena/Rock II for the title are the two most likely matches.

Just finished watching the tag-team DVD and the last match involved Money Inc. I was thinking it was a clever idea to put two mid-level guys in a team and was wondering who they could do it with now. Swagger and McIntyre come to mind.

Tag Teams are a great way to elevate midcarders who might be lacking something individually into a greater whole. And also a good way to put perennial upper carders to different use (ie. wouldn't it freshen Randy Orton up a bit to put him in an interesting tag team program for 3 months) before cycling them back into the title mix. Too bad WWE has totally devalued tag teams. If there is anything to be hopeful for in the new 3 hour run time for Raw (and there's not much!) it's maybe they will re-emphasize tag teams so that they can use that to fill more time. I'm not holding out hope though.

To your point David, I think you could definitely put Swagger and McIntyre together for an interesting team!

1000th RAW tonight. These special shows always seem to not live up to the hype.

Finally, CM Punk back to being a heel. And finally, the Rock on his back in St. Louis.... Punk, like Piper, is just so much more fun to watch as a heel.

I agree about Punk, he's  a much better heel.  He could have worked as a babyface but they would have had to set up a strong foil for him, but they didn't do that.   So I'm just as fine with him being the top bad guy again.

His turn wasn't overt (yet)...it will be interesting to see where they go with this. I think the plan is for him to go up against Rock at Royal Rumble as a straight up heel. But they could take their time getting there, with Punk being a "tweener" for a couple of months first.

My question is, will Punk keep the title until the Rumble? My friend doesn't think so. He said Punk has had the title too long and there is no way Punk will hold the title for over a year. I'm not so sure. But maybe Punk will lose it and regain it before the Rumble.

With Punk's DVD and the WWE 13 game featuring him on the cover will be coming out soon, I would think creative will want to keep the title on him a while longer.

I think keeping Punk strong for a showdown against The Rock would be WWE's top priority. Cena doesn't need the belt to be a huge draw, Punk does. Having the bragging rights to the longest title reign since the 90's is the best way to do that.

I agree with you Paul.

I don't see Punk turning heel. I think he'll straddle the line until the Royal Rumble. More along the line like he was when he started dropping his 'pipe bombs'.

I just hope Rock will make more appearances to until then.

Oh, I think Punk's turned heel already, but I don't know what they'll have to do to get people to really boo him.  Not a lot of fans will hate him for turning on Cena or Rock, let's be honest.
