NXT Takeover is the best show of any weekend that it's on. The only match that didn't mean much to me was the Gargano/Black match and it was still entertaining.

Several people have pointed to the interesting timing of The Rock’s recent announcement of Roman Reigns’ role in the new “Hobbs & Shaw” movie... no one has reported or even teased Reigns being in the Rumble on Sunday, but they've said the timing of the movie announcement is interesting.

I don't think Roman appeared but, I have to admit, midway through the SEVEN HOUR PPV, I may have completely lost my mind.

(He didn't appear, by the way. Still, it was a ridiculously long event. And they rushed the men's rumble to keep it at 7 hours.)

Love Abdullah - as a kid he was captivating. I never saw him until he was in WCW in the late 80s, but he was always in the magazines covered in blood.

I really don't watch much these days wrestling that is but Twitter stuff between Becky and Ronda is gold.

So if I'm following it Ronda threw the belt down and forfeited the title to get Becky reinstated? Doesn't that cheapen the title and her as a champion? Guess they are trying to get all of the Stone Cold vibes but hell at least he chucked the belt into a river

According to Ric Flair, Harley Race has terminal lung cancer. :(

Race's camp clarified that it's not TERMINAL lung cancer, for what that's worth.  At his age, of course, I can't imagine there's any kind of non-terminal cancer.

Hate to be the bearer of more bad news, but...

R.I.P., King Kong Bundy.

One of the first heels I actually enjoyed watching.

Sorry to hear about King Kong Bundy. He was actually a babyface when I started watching wrestling. In Georgia he'd turned on Paul Ellering and was feuding with The Road Warriors, generally with a new partner each month. Bundy teamed with Jay Youngblood against the Warriors at the first live wrestling show I ever attended.

Sad that Hawk, Youngblood and Bundy are all gone now.
