I really like seeing these commissions of characters not usually associated with JB. Great looking Aquaman.

Give him a robe and a beard and it would be an action-shot from the Bible :)

Awesome work.

My first choice of hero as a boy... Wow!

Thanks JB!!!

Let me ask you something JB: Is there a character you did not like until you drew him/her?

I wasn't crazy about She-Hulk until Roger Stern fixed
her. Does that count?

Did Aquaman get his hand back?  Don't follow the character regularly, but I know he lost his hand in the 90s.

I'm startled by the clarity of line and form. Great face, too.

He has an "elemental" hand now. Really not sure of the specifics.

I've always liked Aquaman (his powers and his design). I first discovered him as a kid watching the old Super Friends cartoons (my favorite being the one in which Aquaman turns into some sort of aquatic monster), so it always bugged me that he somehow became a "running joke."

It's unfortunate that "updating" Aquaman meant turning into a less-cool Namor. What I like about this commission is that Aquaman's *smiling* -- there's no grim and gritty, no brooding. He's the King of the Seas and he loves it.

Of course... Add yourself to the mix and there you have the perfect heroine I did not liked or cared about until you two happenned to her.

Some years later the same happened to Superman... Your magic touch... and WHAM! I started to like him.

Thanks!
