I have to say I think Sinestro is one of the best villian names ever, and the piece is just beautiful. I had a tear of hope in eye for the what could be in comics when I saw this page.

The Red Ghost and his Super Simians were always one of my favorite Marvel ideas. Great episode of the old Hannah Barbera show.

Beautiful. And poster-sized? Oof. This one would be like framing all my best childhood daydreams.

I have to say I have never come across Red Ghost but I found another example of JB's work on the subject.

John, are you just posting now to antagonize Joe Zhang? You've changed your avatar to be a mirror image of his and most of your recent comments in threads across the board are to quote him and agree. Feels like more of a statement about something or another than honest discussion about the topics in question.

This is my first time seeing this commission, so hopefully people will forgive me for adding a comment.
I really like it, but Batman bugs me. What is he looking at?
I know he's a superhero and can thus overlook the martial-arts rule of keeping an eye on your foe and all, but it just seems awkward.
It looks like he's either looking at us (the viewer) or some other villain is approaching. That's my theory.

He's looking at the Joker. Without benefit of visible
pupils, these are the kind of thing you just have to
take as read.

I was sure he was looking at the Joker. Probably read enough comics to fill in the blanks myself.

Probably read enough comics to fill in the blanks myself. *** That makes you, alas, an increasingly rare -- should I say endangered? -- beast! The age of the internet has spawned a whole "generation" of people (in all areas, not just comic fans) who seem determined to turn on their computers and turn off those parts of their brains that deal with the accepted conventions of a form. Where is Spider-Man looking in this image?
