Nice, George.  Kind of goes a bit too quick there at the end to pick up on what you were doing.

JB, I use my Wacom laid flat. I've got an Intuos. My understanding of the
Cintiq is that it can be laid flat as well as using a stand. From the website: "a
dynamically adjustable stand that allows the display to be rotated, inclined,
and even quickly removed for in-lap use".

actually the Cintiq stand allows you to pivot the screen as you draw, just like an animators light-table...

simply fantastic technology!!!!

I ink and color my cartoons in Photoshop using a mouse.  I'd like to get my hands on a Wacom tablet though.

here is another video exclusively for this post...

I've slowed down the steps from the other videos I've created...

in real time it took an hour... I've sped this up and brought it down to 35 minutes...

this illustrates (no pun intended) just how awesome inking in illustrator is and has been for over 17 years!!!

I've used the PEN and BRUSH tool for this.

-PEN tool was used with the mouse.
-BRUSH tool was used with the Wacom Pad.

Hope you all have a better understanding of this process and give it a try...

Actually illustrator is very easy to ink over pencils or any other artwork, with a tablet even easier!

"Actually", George, you are becoming a real pain in the ass. How about you accept that I have tried Illustrator, I have tried a tablet, and neither of them work for me?
