Wow JB, the Thing looks great!
Was that done with a Sharpie?
Any temptation to add the 'crackle' to Doctor Strange's gloves? Or painting Wolverine brown? Or Cyclops to his more traditional colours?
(yr new camera takes good photos)

For the moment, I haven't tried anything to improve my figurines (the first will be Wolverine whose paint job wasn't flawless).
I have been trying for a long time to "insert" some shadows between the assembled parts of my Robocop and T800 vinyl kits. Can you explain how did you manage to do this on the Thing ?

How I did it on the Thing would not be much help with more complex forms.
I just painted on a blob of black ink, and then smeared it around with my
thumb. Repeated until as many of the grooves as would take "fill" did so.

Haven't picked up some in a while so I got of bunch of issues today:
53 - Polaris
54 - Nova
55 - Scarlet Witch
56 - Deadpool
Special - Apocalypse.
Just when I thought I'd spent too much, I spot a Gray Hulk variant on the way out the door... It'll wait till I pick up the next issue (57 Mysterio).

Yeah. I can think of one or ten I'd like before him, I'd love some more of the Inhuman Royal Family, Havok, Professor X... The list goes on.

I know it strains the limits of credulity when Nova is released in a line of "Classic Marvel Figurines", but I don't mind. I like the character quite a bit, will buy it when it's available here in the States, and makes sense when one considers that he's become rather high profile in the last year or so. In addition, this line of figurines has never purported to be in order of importance. Mr. Fantastic isn't even out here in the States and will be the final member of FF released after The Thing, Sue, and Johnny in that order and rather far apart from one another. Blade was released in the first batch of ten characters and before Captain America, if I'm not mistaken. I don't take that as a sign that the company considers Blade more important than Cap or any of the characters that followed in production.
In the end, I'm enjoying this line of figurines quite a bit. Like with comics, buy what you like, pass on what you don't, and wait for something you really want.

It's also important, I suppose, to remember that Nover has been with us for
(choke) thirty-one years!!!
The Marvel Universe was barely 15 years old when the Human Rocket
arrived.

Absolutely LOVED Nova when it came out. Too bad they didn't use the
original costume. As much as I like that character that's one I won't be
getting.

I just got back from a trip to Strasbourg this evening, and while I was there,
I picked up Namor, the Invisible Woman, the Thing, the Silver Surfer,
Wolverine, Doctor Strange, Captain Britain, Colossus, Captain America,
Daredevil, and Spider-Man.
I've asked my nephew, who goes to school in Strasbourg, to pick up the
Hulk, Phoenix, and a few others for me.
I love these things!
