Latest arrival. Small addition required (the trunks), and if I get to feeling
industrious, I will probably repaint the whole figure to tidy up the lightning
bolts.

From the photo, those are the cleanest lines on the bolts that I've seen yet.  Mine should be shipping out today or tomorrow.

"Crystal" needs to be turned into somebody else, and somebody else needs
to be turned into Crystal. There's not a female figure from either the Marvel
or DC side yet, tho, that I'd see as a good starting point for a conversion.

Black Cat has the curves, but the pose is all wrong.

UPS tracking says my Quicksilver should get here tomorrow (today, actually...I guess after I wake up).  Good call with the trunks, JB!

Regarding figurines that would work for conversion: are there any other lines of figurines out there that are of similar size and/or construction that would work as fodder for customization to super-heroes???

I've long thought this was the inspiration for the Crystal figurine...

though it appears they stopped trying about five minutes into the process.

Definitely.  Richard Jackson from Eaglemoss did a Q&A on the figurine forum yesterday.  One of the figures he wants to see redone is a "Kirby" Crystal.  Shame, since it's just been released in the UK.  Seems like something they should have caught and corrected months ago.

"Crystal" looks like a Mary Jane or someone else normal.  Not very heroic.

From the earliest days, I saw Crystal as cut very much in the Bernadette
Peters mold -- not tall, but nicely rounded.

They at least got the height correct.  Fix the hair, give her some boobs, add the missing details and you won't be too far off.

She needs hips, too, Ryan. And a smaller nose.
