If only he'd go back to wearing that armor in the comics...

Intense!  I really do miss the "regular" old Iron Man.  I totally hate the "Hi, I'm a real prick" Iron Man that's running around the Marvel U lately.

Saying that he's a skrull (if that's what they ultimately do) won't really earn them any points with me.

Nice illo, JB.  Very invincible of you.

He's way too flexible! That and he needs a 1000 more lines on him.

By the way, the word "character" seems to be written twice. Was it meant to be "entertainment" instead, as it is seen on some other commissions?

••

I noticed recently that "Marvel Entertainment Inc" has become "Marvel Characters Inc."

One more step in the ongoing denial that they are a comicbook company.

Looks almost like Iron Man #197 cover one minute earlier! :)

++++++++++++

Wonderful commission! Reminds me why I love the character. The classic red-and-gold armor is still my favorite. It's "superhero-y", but still clearly a high-tech suit of armor. I also love Kirby's original "clunky" design.

I hope to see the real Iron Man again some day. Like so many other great characters, he's been having some rough times in recent years.

Appropriate because I don't find them very entertaining and the all they really do is exploit the characters for money on all kinds of products other than comics.

Back to praising this commission:  great Iron Man!

…Iron Man #197 cover…

A.k.a. why colorists should not knock out the black
lines with color.

I think they used Flexographic printing for the interior coloring of that issue, too. Yikes!
