In the wake of the success of SHIN GODZILLA, merchandise of the goofy-looking (but very destructive) 2nd Form of Godzilla have begun appearing on the horizon...

Now you can use "Kamata-Kun", as the 2nd Form is affectionately known online, to aid your everyday chores:

No word if he spews radioactive mutagenic blood from his gills at odd times...

I spotted some sets for the upcoming LEGO BATMAN MOVIE. There's
a Magpie mini-figure, but she is using the "Lady Gaga" design from the
short-lived BEWARE THE BATMAN cartoon.

My daughter has been getting the Disney Infinity game figures, she loves them.  The local Meijer's now has them on sale 75% off, $2.64 a figure. Quite the deal whether the game continues or not.

Toys R Us had those on sale, buy 1, get 3 free.  I picked up Han, Chewie, Darth, and Captain America.  Cap isn't great, but I hope to customize him so he's closer to his classic costume.  I love the rest.

A little nostalgia, This is a 1964 version, so technically after my English days, but still nicely done. Extraordinary detailing. 1/24 scale.

As Flanders & Swann put it...

[singing] It's worth it just to ride inside that twenty foot long by ten foot wide; inside that monarch of the road, observer of the Highway Code; that big six wheeler, scarlet painted, London Transport, diesel engined, 97 horse power omnibus!

Once again, I must ask, how does THIS....

...say "Cyclops"?

Since the guy running around in 'that' bears zero resemblance to the character 'Cyclops' anyway, it doesn't really matter.

And how does THAT....

.....even work? If the visor is now one huge X, does that mean his optic beams shoot out in the form of an X every time?

That model of the Routemaster bus is wonderful! One of my local buses when I lived in Streatham in South London was the 159 which was the route on which the final Routemasters ran. They were finally withdrawn from service in December 2005. Not bad for a vehicle that had ceased production in 1968!

Just spent a few minutes clicking thru Batman stuff on Amazon and BOY, the people making the Cesare Romero Joker figures are really determined not to sell me any. Virtually all have mustaches.

sigh

And the Bandai Star Wars model kits finally have an official importer to the USA:

Collection DX Link

It might eventually released over here by Bluefin/Tamashi Nations, but the Bandai Mecha-Colle mini Star Destroyer kit is a real gem for the low price and the amount of detail you get with it. Managed to find 3 of those on my last trip to Tokyo.

EDIT - Adding Link to the official Bandai page for that mini-Star Destroyer kit:

Disney Infinity figures finally hit a price point that I was prepared to pay this weekend. I think these have a design similar to the 2004 Clone Wars micro cartoon. Since it was my birthday last week, spent my money on the entire Star Wars set of fives. Cost me the equivalent of what four figures would have done at the time of release. Will probably go back for a cheap starter set sometime this week to round the set off.

If you are looking for Funko Pops here is a new company selling them. If there is damage to the box they will identify this in the description. Every 2 weeks or so they will add a few hundred new Pops, sometimes more depending on what they get in. They hope to keep the Pop train rolling pretty consistently so there's always fresh inventory. Next update will be over this weekend. I bought 2 different Captain America ones last night and they are now on their way to me!
