See, that's what I've been waiting for. I love the WW2 era characters dearly. Plus robots! If you'd thrown Phantom Lady in there, it'd be the greatest commission of all time.

God, how I wish you were drawing a monthly Captain America title, JB.  I really like the different look for the chain mail on Cap's uniform.  It truly looks like the mail is underneath the tunic as has been described elsewhere in the forum.  Nicely done!

Wasn't expecting a crossover with Sgt. Rock here, but it sure makes for a pleasant surprise.  One of the advantages of doing your own work, it seems.  Cap and the Sarge would've been a natural fit for an inter-company crossover story set in those days.

I want to see a Captain America/Sgt. Rock mini-series, with alternating issues drawn by JB and Kubert.

Wow, very nice.  Captain America is the one Marvel character I feel,  who could fit seamlessly into the DC Universe.  Cool.

I particularly like how "cruddy" Cap's costume is, like little bits of exploded debris are embedded in the chainmail?

Wow! Lotsa Kirby - Kubert goings on.

Looks like you might own the war genre as much as sword and sorcery.

Another commission screaming for a full book treatment.

Captain America is the one Marvel character I feel,  who could fit seamlessly into the DC Universe.

••

Cap has more than once been referred to as the DC character accidentally published by Marvel. The Doom Patrol have occasionaly be observed to be the obverse.

Gee, all we need is Nick Fury and it's a complete WWII picture!

My dad is a WWII vet, so I love these things.
