I checked their website but couldn't find this answer.  What is their recommendation on daily water intake?

JB,

Have you been exercising as well or just do the diet?

I'm trying to lose weight at the moment.  Got put on medication that increases appetite.  I've blown up to 160lbs.  You may laugh when I say I'm 5'11" and so shouldn't have to worry but I've been around 140lbs most of my life and I feel fat.  A while on the exercise bike should see me ok - best to deal with these things quickly before they get out of hand.

I'm on the South Beach diet - a three phase process. In Phase 1 I lost 12 lbs, in the first 2 weeks, then went on a business trip to Vietnam for 2 weeks and now I've been back for a week

The bad news -- I haven't lost any additional weight.

The good news -- I didn't gain any weight during my two week trip (I did try and watch what I ate, though the portions and time of the meals was radically different over there.  Some of the food was different, too, but there was lots of fish to choose from, which is a big, positive part of the South Beach Diet.

I'm going back onto Phase 1 to lose some more weight, then go back onto Phase 2 and maintain it.

Congrats, JB!

On a related note, people who are overweight sometimes chide me for being too skinny (though physicians always tell me that my weight is just fine for my height and frame).  Does that ever happen to anyone else here?
