Mine is from the 60's Batman TV series - I had such a crush on Yvonne Craig...

(And it's also a tribute to Todd Douglas' avatar, too...)

Mine is by one of my favorite comic artists doing a rare take on one of my
favorite comic characters.

(and thanks for this thread, John OConnor; nice to know the origins of some
of these avatars)

Mine is Harold Peary aka The Great Gildersleeve.

BTW I e-mailed Disney Video just last week complaining about the lack of a Scarecrow of Romney Marsh DVD. I got a nice form letter back, but alas, no news on a possible release.

I bounce around a lot.  And you got me on a slow day, so I'm gonna sit here and make you see 'em all!

Here's my current: Will Ferrell as Mugatu in the under-rated (as in people think it's sucks but I think it's okay) Zoolander.

This is Phil Collins from the interior photo of my first Genesis album, Abacab.  I'm a huge Genesis fan.

This is the first screen of the immortal classic Texas Instruments computer game Tunnels of Doom.  It's really too small to be appreciated but that's the way it is with avatars.  I use this one when I'm feeling like an inside joke.

Wolverine in close-up, from a double-page spread of him going after Sauron in X-Men 115.  Wolverine was my favorite X-Man, although his overuse soured me greatly.

  Ack.  Tpthww.  Nuff said?

Don't know if I've used this one yet, but after seeing the Steelers throwback uniforms, I am sorely tempted!

Peter Gabriel circa 1972-73, performing "Supper's Ready" with Genesis.

  My Election Day avatar.

When we were having a case of Conservative Trollitis, I wore my badge of shame as required.

A bit grainy (I made most of these myself and my skillz do NOT pay the bills) but this is John Lithgow as Dr. Emilio Lizardo/Lord John Worfin from The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across The Eighth Dimension.

My planned Halloween avatar.  Needs pared down a bit.

Found it.  Loved it.  No idea what it is.

  Ugh.  Lifebuoy.

The first time Wolverine used his claws without the gloves on, from my first issue of X-Men, #98.  Instant classic.

  Sometimes I love winter.

Needs shrunk down.  Network is one of those films that gets better every year, and nowadays it doesn't even need to be on for you to watch it.  Kinda sad, actually.

My previous avatar, a closeup from the album art from the latest They Might Be Giants album, The Else.  I just liked it.

Mine's simply a photo of a cheetah I took at the Cincinnati Zoo a couple years ago.

Hopefully some of my artwork if I've done this right.

Mine is obviously a Thor sketch (that Unca Walt did for me).
