Dave-Probably you are talking about the arc in issues 26-28, where he used
duo-tone shadowing. This wouldn't be a problem if they didn't use too low
resolution images. It's shame the quality of reproduction of the reprints in
Marvel in general, but specially in Essentials. Anyway, the Essentials of MK
weren't of the worst samples... In the second volume, they even bothered to
include the images published only in color (are they called surprints?)

This is a sample of that arc:

Dave, thanks for that bit of info, though it saddens me to hear that. Guess it means I'll have to give the Classic TPBs a shot down the line. Good to know though.

Interesting bit of news is that Bill Sink is inking over Tom Derenick's pencils on DC's upcoming 6 issue series focused on the demon population in that universe (I can't remember the name of it at the moment.)

Interesting, Fred. Give us a shout about how that turns how. It seems like it could possibly be a very sweet fit.

I'm psyched to see the finished result. To my knowledge, it is the first time that anyone with such a pengthy and prestigious resume has inked him.

JB, the Zeck art that Ferran posted appeared on the cover
for the anthology trade paperback edited by Stan Lee from 1995. 'The Ultimate Silver Surfer'.

Tom DeFalco did a nice job on the origin re-telling, and
there was some swell artwork on the chapter title pages.
(including John Buscema, Perez, and Frenz).

I bought it years ago and only just read it about 6 months back.

Lars-But it was published in his color form. It also has been published
recently in the cover of the mag Write Now #16.
