Wow! I wonder if Gerry has any pieces I haven't commissioned on his computer as well. There are some that I'd very much like to see. ;)

I'll let you have Snowbird.  Maybe.  The rest are mine.  And don't even think about coming near Heather.

The next installment of my latest batch of Hembeck commissions from our Mighty Mighty MOC-BLOG Sunday Comics feature this morning. This one features the cast of characters – heroes and villains alike – appearing in Uncanny X-Men nos. 101-125, rendered in Fred’s inimitable style.  Check out the blog for a link to a high resolution scan of the piece.

Love it, James!  Sunfire's reaction to Firelord, Northstar's scowl and Sasquatch's big smilin' face are my favorite parts.

James,

How large are these Hembeck pieces?

Oh!  11x17, just read the blog entry!

Thanks, Ryan. It's a really fun piece. You pegged a few of my favorites and I also like the funny looks Lilandra and Eric the Red are exchanging. This piece (in fact, this whole series of commissions) was inspired by the great art that Fred did on the back of the X-Men Companion Vol. 2 back in the 80s.

Joe, the interior art is 11" x 17", but the paper Fred uses is a bit bigger. It's not standard comic page stock and it doesn't fit perfectly on my scanner, which is why the scan is a bit muddy.
