I posted this larger in the Rom thread, but thought I'd put it here as well.
This is my much-loved Rom page by Mr. Ditko & Mr. Byrne:

Wow Dave!  That's an impressive combination of talents on a single page!  Have you had that for long or is it a recent addition?

Joe-
I've had it for awhile (7 years?), so it's not a true "new artwork" post.
Got it on ebay for what I would consider to be very cheap.
loooooove it!
I also have 2 great Sal Rom pages, and one other page with the Akin/Garvey inks(my least favorite of my 4 Rom pages- I need a killer Akin/Garvey page, darn it!)

I also made his blog!  http://www.hembeck.com/FredSez.htm

Looks like I got in today (and possibly tomorrow).  Is it bad when he feels the need to preface my piece with "Okay folks,THIS one is gonna take a little explaining...?" :-)  So is there any chance that the guys here commissioned the others so can call it "Byrne Forum Week" on Fred's blog?

Dave A,

Nice pick-up!  (Even if it was awhile ago.)  I loves me some Ditko.  I don't know what it is that keeps him from selling his original art, but I'd give (almost) anything for him to change his mind on that front.  I probably wouldn't be able to afford anything, but it would be nice to know there's a chance...

Other Dave P,

So how's that second job search coming along?  Keep this up, you're going to be overtaking Ari's Batman collection in no time!  :-)

JB,

Augh!  Now all I can see is Daredevil on the Yeates piece!  (Mumble grumble gripe...)  Ah well, at least it prompted me to put a request in for him.  Here's hoping...

For that to happen I'll need to win the lottery.

Dave.

Wo, Hembeck has been busy.  What's the turnaround time on pieces from him?

I think it only took about two weeks to get my FF5 re-creation.

I just came out of my little mini coma, went to a few places to get some quotes on framing and the last thing I thought I heard was "that will be approx. 225.00" then a resounding thud. I managed to talk her down to about 150.00 which was little more then scotch taping the work to the wall. I can spend a few grand on just framing a few pieces or get some more commissions (guess which one wins that battle?).
Any suggestions on affordable framing? May need a third job just to be able to hang them on the wall.

Dave.

I had a frame made with an easily removable back.  It allows me to swap out the art on display periodically.

I know what you mean.  That's why I've opted for a "portfolio book" for the near term.  Maybe after I've exhausted my commission ideas I'll start thinking about framing...  If I live that long. ;-)
