This one hasn't arrived yet, but I need it to set up the next piece so I'll post it early:

Dr. Fate vs. Dr. Doom by Ed Hannigan and his inker whose name I'm blanking on (based on a cover Ed did for Strange Tales, when it was a Dr. Strange reprint series):

Finally, the desire for an Across the Page commission based off of events in an old issue of All-Star Comics combined with the desire to do something differnet with Dr. Strange since he was the one major guest star to not end up fighting Spider-Man during the Lee/Ditko run led to my latest Hembeck:

For those familiar with the story, Joan was included because it seemed wrong not to, Peachy Pet is a mini-Thunderbolt because my faulty memory apparently led to artistic inspiration, and as for Inza...

she's running a little late because of the events in the Doom/Fate pic. :-)

And how appropriate that my last post was my big 2000th...

BTW, for anyone who may care about such things, that leaves two "real" pieces to go and, assuming all goes well, one last "companion" piece.

Dave, I saw the Hembeck on his site, thought it was a fabulous idea (though I didn't know the reason)

Dave - Those Grells are things of beauty, but are you
sure that's Red Sonja? Where's the chain mail bikini?

How on earth did you connect Mike Grell with Angel & the
Ape?

David P. - why's Granny Goodness fighting Daredevil?
Nice Bob Browns. He was a truly underrated talent.

Met Mike Grell at a party one night on Capital Hill.I was talking with a friend ,comic-like ,and the introduction included him rolling over the back of couch , landing firm as his pencils on his feet, and solidly shaking my hand. And thats all I remember.Thank god for the Longbow Hunter.

Like I said, I liked the other outfit better. :-)

Just thought it would be interesting to see characters normally drawn in a cartoony style done by someone with a more realistic one.
