OK, I'll admit it.  I'm a weak man!  Watching you guys post all these recent, cool art pieces from Jim made me jealous.  I just got confirmation that this is on its way!

I'm a sucker for any 4th World pages with Metron on them.  The aliens and interesting angle of the Mobius Chair really attracted me to this piece.

Some beautiful Garcia Lopez pieces. I had thought of picking up a Joker piece until a friend pointed out that these pieces are actually copies of Garcia Lopez's blue lines that have been inked, not the originals.

Fred, sorry to hear that about your Joker piece.  I had the same thing happen to me on the Wolverine piece I got from Herb Trimpe.  Paid good money for it and got a lightbox of it and inked by him.  I was not happy when I found that out.

As long as Trimpe is the one who inked it, that doesn't seem too bad to me.  Sort of like an artist having a stock con sketch pose that they use over and over.  It's still art by that artist.

Good point Joe. James, I didn't actually buy the piece. It was part of the new batch whose pieces are finding their way to this forum.

I was surprised to hear that he lightboxed it and then inked it.  I could have done that myself.  Well, I sold it and got the Buscema Conan page I always wanted.

I haven't seen this Trimpe Wolverine, but if it's a recreation of a famous pose, you have to know that it's going to be a lightbox inking of it...

A question for the Breeding Lopez art- does that actually have Lopez pencils on it or is it Breeding doing a lightbox inking as well?  They're really nice!
Cuz James can do those himself, if you ever need them... :)

There are artists out there that do many versions of the same exact figure: Shelly Moldoff, Ramona Fradon, and I guess Herb Trimpe. If you know this going into buying a piece, then you obviously don't care. If you don't know this, well you might be disappointed...
