Brian, that Steve Rude is beautiful.  That's definitely something to have on one's wall.  Congrats!

Wow... Fred... that Weeks is just stunning. I think he's one of the most underrated guys out there.... always just suburb work and yet never seems to get named with the BIG guys.... TwoMorrows being the exception. Anyone who hasn't picked up his Modern Masters should run and get it!!

Fred, is that a commission? Or a page from a book.... I read so little any more... this is the first I've heard about the Stern/Weeks Spider-Man too!!! Sweet!!!

And Brian, that Rude just rocks... its pretty well known that he's a big 20th century american illustration fan... most notably Andrew Loomis, who he's channeling here... just fantastic!.

If you aren't familiar with Loomis, go search him out.... (and shame on you for not knowing the name!!) I picked up all of his now very costly books years ago, but thanks to this wonderful internet of ours.... you can have all of them in pdf format right here

http://alexhays.com/loomis/

I'm not exaggerating when I say that the books contiained in here would generally set you back at least a couple hundred for beat up reading copies....

You want to learn to draw... there you go!

Joel, that is the splash page from  Amazing Spider-Man #627, the Roger Stern/Lee Weeks collaboartion being released tomorrow. The most excited that I've been about the series in a long time is due to this storyline and its creators...... now, my commission is upcoming... Daredevil vs. Juggernaut. I need to get it scanned.

I haven't been excited about anything mainstrream in a LONG LONG time.... probably 10 years now. (And no, I don't consider JB's IDW work mainstream...)

but this Spider-man series sounds GREAT! I really didn't think I've EVER be excited about a Marvel/DC comic ever again.... I'm glad they proved me wrong....

Great sketch from Lee, Fred.

I've known him a long time and think he's just an exquisite artist and a great, great man.
