Adventure Comics #454, pg 2

Pencils by Juan Ortiz, inks by Vince Colletta

I'm an unabashed fan of the pre-Crisis concept of Superboy: secret identity, costume, Legion membership, Krypto, pals with young Bruce Wayne, etc. In some ways, I think I enjoyed the SuperBOY stories more than the SuperMAN stories when I was a kid, so it is always a kick for me to find a nice example of the Boy of Steel.

Wow. That Dodson piece might be my favorite piece of art that he's ever produced. Congrats.

Nice...Dodson did a great job...

Yeah...aside from the gun, the grenades, the straps that are holding nothing, the seams in the mask, the shirt that isn't chainmail (or even scales for that matter), and the menacing non-Capish glare...

Aside from that I LOVE IT!!!

(seriously...I do)

The straps look like they're holding bags.
Bags of stuff TO KILL NAZIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great Dodson. I wonder why he didn't go with the sheild? (I think the shield would've fit nicely in the corner with the same exact hand pose),

but that gun/shield discussion is already going on in another thread...

It really is a nice!

Mind blowing stuff, guys.

Joe, I love the Sinestro/Plankton. That Aikins fella isn't half bad.

Roger, your Pelletier Cosmo came out marvelous. In fact, everyones Pelletier pieces came out great. But yours is first in originality.

John Popa, really great stuff you picked up this weekend. The scary part is that you are holding out on sharing all your stuff. ;) But the Master Darque is top notch to be sure. Thanks for saving me a space in the Dodson line. I don't think I expressed my appreciation enough. I owe you big time.

Jason, you are as crazy as I am when it comes to hustling for sketches. The Dodson piece is without a doubt my favorite of your pick-ups. With the Perkins being a close runner-up. Even the hot dog sketches are crazy good.

Lloyd, I am constantly in awe with the new pieces you put up. Please keep sharing.
