Last one from my recent splurge:

Doom Patrol 18, page 21 by Byrne/Hazlewood.

I think I've accumulated 21 pages from the JLA/Doom
Patrol series now.

Here's a Neal Adams piece I picked up a month ago.  It's rare for Neal to draw commissions in 11x17 nowadays.  It's also equally rare to have him draw Batman with the oval in the chest.  This is a pose he has recreated often though, but this one is bigger than what's out there and most other versions of this pose seem to be missing the fins in Batman's right hand glove.  This one is complete though.  Here's the long description, entry, and additional images...

A Neal Batman without oval just seems so wrong.

Stunning piece Jovi. You inspired me to post my Neal Adams commission that I picked up at C2E2. My first Batman comic was 243. Finally I have a Batman from Neal!

I have no John Byrne original artwork in my collection. Maybe one day.

The closest thing I have is this page of artwork from the Genesis miniseries which was written by Byrne.

This is probably the best piece of original artwork that I have obtained within the last 12 months, a drawing of Thor by the legendary Joe Sinnott done in my Avengers theme sketchbook.  It was a birthday present from my girlfriend Michele.

I never thought I would get a Joe Sinnott sketch. I had met him on several occasions at conventions, but I just never had the opportunity to get anything by him. When he announced his retirement in early 2019, I figured that was it.

This past June my girlfriend Michele had a table at IncrediCon in Middletown NY. I stayed home because our cat Squeaky wasn't feeling well. Michele took along my Avengers sketchbook because a friend of hers who was going to the show wanted to see it, and just in case she met anyone there who might want to do a sketch. Joe Sinnott was going to be a guest. Michele said she could see is he was drawing, and that if he was she would try to get me a sketch for my birthday. I shrugged and replied "He's 92 years old and he retired a few months ago. I doubt he's going to be sketching. But if you want you can ask him." Michele asked me what character I would want and I said something like "Thor or anyone from the Fantastic Four."

A few hours later I get a text from Michele: "You're getting a Thor sketch." My jaw hit the floor. I honestly did not expect that Sinnott would be drawing. Then she sent me a photo of the sketch. I was seriously in awe. At 92 years old Sinnott was still an incredible artist.
