Wow...the cover is a homage to Superman in Action Comics!. The story is great!

Ha!  I never caught the gag with the license plate until now, having read about it on the Forum. 

I love the spin on the Action Comics cover, this is one of my favorites from the FF run.  Great inking this issue, and Sue's new invisible look really works for me, much better than the dashed outline.

"...cause it looks a whole lot ta me like we're in 1936."  Yes indeed.  The setting gave this story an incredible feel.

 

What gag with the license plate?  GNU 556?
