I'd love to see a "companion piece" someday, a completely enraged Sabretooth, but Sabretooth as he was drawn in the 70s and 80s, not the inflated "pro-wrestler" looking thing he is usually drawn as now.

Hm, I've never noticed Logan's wrists turned at an angle when his claws are extended. It made me think for a moment and it makes complete sense that he could and would move his wrists when attacking. For all I know it's been done before, but I've certainly never noticed it as pronounced as depicted here. Very cool!

As I used to draw him, Wolverine had complete mobility in his wrists with
the claws extended.

Guess that is just another indicator that it is time to dig those issues out and reread them again. :)

As you can see, this is something George picked up on, too. . .

The best thing is, he never has to ask anyone to scratch that hard-to-reach spot on his back -- because, for him, there AIN'T no such spot!

JB, do you ever get bored when people keep telling you how consistently excellent your work is, and wishing you were regularly drawing ______(fill in name of favorite character)?

I really like the head and mask.  Wolverine's look is so different compared to most of the top tier heroes (in terms of popularity).  It's really too bad that distinct look wasn't brought to life in the movies.

Good example (but I've got no pictures to post) -- Uncanny XMen #132 - as Harry Leland is making Wolverine heavy...

I dislike the fact that Wolverines claws have been drawn by some artits like it is in the live action film with the claws coming out nearly between his fingers
