I apologize if this was covered in another thread, but are these commissions with the cityscapes/foregrounds being considered 'character' or with-background pieces?

Basically, Ryan, if there's no border, it's a character piece!
And in this instance, it was my decision to toss in a background, not the
request of the customer.
