Hey, it worked the last time we supplied arms to a Middle Eastern country to
stave off Iran. What country was that?

I agree, though wasn't totally thrilled with "Ghost of Tom Jode" -- snore...

The time between E Street Band activity (e.g. the 1990's) were not a highlight.  Some good stuff, but not as good as what came before or since.

"a liveable community"

Damn they put the bar high. LOL

Well, when one considers that a majority of the MD mortgage crisis are happening in PG county -- as well as the highest incidence of handgun violence -- I suppose that was the best they could come up with.  "Lose your house and get shot" doesn't have a very good ring to it.

oddly, also not sleeping, but I have no baby-excuse.  Not sure why - things are great here - great new apartment with tons of amenities (I work out in the free gym everyday, and swin in the pool) , great new job, cool area.  I should be happy as a clam.  But I can't sleep and I'm kind of restless.

Think I miss the ex for some reason.

But!  Enough of this maudlin horseshit.  let's get back to making sure Obama becomes the next President!

None of my business, but it sounds like you need a girl, dude.  I'm sure there are quite a few hotties working the Obama campaign.  You could do good and help get someone elected president.

The masterminds are eductated and know of "western corruptions" and among those corputions are equality for woman and respect and tolerance for other religions.  So I do think its a factor.

It's huge.  I briefly dated a Saudi student while he was going to college in Tampa.  Some of the conversations we had just boggled my mind and is the main reason I stopped seeing him.  He loved living in America but the cultural differences were still amazing.

If a woman's husband dies, she does not inherit his wealth and properties.  They remain with his male relatives and the wife goes back to her family.  Women, when going to a beach, would still wear their full garb, even when swimming.  The one that really got to me was even when a huband and wife had sex, in most homes, the wife would never be nude.  She would still be in full garb and hoist up her clothing for the deed.  O.o

He still believed in most of the traditional Saudi values but wanted to be in the US so he could be openly gay.  If he wanted to go to a club while he was living in SA, he had to go to another country because if it was discovered it would bring a shame to his family that would lower their place in society.  He was a very casual Muslim.  He didn't do the multiple daily prayers.  He wouldn't eat pork because he felt pigs were dirty, not for religious reasons.  Though, many time he was tempted to try bacon because he loved the smell, heh.

So ya, it is a big part of it.

Here's what I don't understand, there were no Iraqi's on the planes, we attack Iraq.

There were Saudi Arabians on the planes and we give Saudi Arabians a 20 billion dollar weapons deal.

Only the naive really believe the Saudi's are truly our allies.  They are, but in name only.

So the officials who just gave them that 20 billion dollar weapons deal are
naive. Who did these fools represent, anyway? (The ones who gave that
deal, I mean, under whose auspices were they authorized grant the Saudis
20 billion in weapons?)
