This issue is a great example of how wonderful Alpha Flight could be.
Great work JB -- 20 some odd years later and it still looks great!

Actually Daniel, the cover of this issue would make for a helluva pin-up...
but I get what you're driving at.

This issue surprised me when I first read it, because it's the first time Aurora uses the "L word" concerning Walter. Something about that didn't ring true to me, which seemed more evident in the next few issues. It always seemed more of a "friends with benefits" situation to me.

One of her personalites, at least, must have loved Walter!!
(Sidebar: It is perhaps interesting to note that I would most likely not create
Aurora, if I were starting Alpha today. Not the Aurora we all know, anyway.
There has been too much research in the years since that has poked a
whole lot of pins into the idea of "split personalities". More and more the
concept is being rejected, and such manifestations as have been recorded
are increasingly seen as deliberate or accidental manipulation by the
therapist. So, starting off today, I would not go that route with Jean Marie.)

JB -
I've got a question about pin-ups: how/why do they appear?
As a fan and reader, I love them, but I've often wondered who/what
instigates them.

This was the best issue of the run for me. Hit on all eight cylinders, then added eight cylinders and hit them too.
