It took me a moment to realize what's going on there and when I did I
realized it's very bad news for our heros.

Since I'm only familiar with a handful of his appearances, I've not seen
Doom employ such a device. Was this mechanism inspired by a particular
issue or storyline?

Wow; great idea and great execution!

This would make a great story plot. Dr. Doom takes over Superman's body and sends him after the FF? I'd buy that comic in a heartbeat!

If this were the cover of a comic, I would buy it without hesitation and without even flipping through the pages to confirm whether or not I wanted it.

Congrats, Joel!

Once the danger involved "clicked," I definitely felt a desire to see the rest
of the story.

The Kirby-looking platform is what made me think it might be inspired by
an earlier Dr. Doom plot.
