This is the Mystery Project, the first of several "sequels" to the
ROMULANS issue I did for IDW. First up, a two parter. Then some more.

There's already art on the drawing board, but I will be waiting a while before
I show you any sneekpeeks.

I really enjoyed the first one and for me it was a first for a Star Trek anything. I am 37 years old and never really got into Star Trek (no particular reason why). These couple of series may help; though I'm lost on what most people are talking about.

edited to add contract'n

The ROMULANS one-shot worked perfectly as a stand-alone story--but, at the same time, there was clearly room for more stories to be told (such as the Praetor's reaction to the loss of the Bird-of-Prey). Great news.

Excellent news (even though I am yet to read the one-shot, which hasn´t reached my shores)!

Ooo, good idea, Flavio!

(Suddenly I feel like my running around the house naked yelling "there is
just one more duty to perform" celebration may have been a bit over the
top.)

Too cool!

Will this be fitting in to some other series, such as the Romulans issue was a part of an "Aliens" series?

••

This gets to stand alone -- until it joins the other parts (and something else)
in the trade paperback.

Wouldn't it be cool if JB was to do an actual comic adaption of the Balance of Terror episode?  Bookended by these Romulan stories, it would make an awesome collection.

Great news indeed!

I hope that one of the "sequels" is related to THE ENTERPRISE INCIDENT, because I would love to see that female Romulan Commander brought to life via John's artwork!

I'm betting Mr Byrne will be "re-telling" the "Balance of Terror" episode from the perspective of the Romulans...
