Amazing!

I love the characters and the detail to even putting art on the back wall!

Great job!

Mighty nice picture there, JB! I was thinking it would be Professor X
and Magneto for some reason...

Very nice Mr Byrne. I like the metal sheen applied to Iron Man's armour in the BG. Always liked how you have rendered metals in your work and this is a fine example. I also really like the left leg of Wonder Man. Really shows the weight being pushed off it.

Thanks for noticing, Gordon! Had to redraw that foot three times before the
weight was right!

Like the picture, but that version of Wonderman's outfit never did anything for me. . .

Love it!  The instant I saw it, it brought back a ton of memories.  I have really fond memories of this title generally, but this issue specifically:

Great job!

Looking at that cover just now, everything screams "KIRBY!" with the exception of the Vision's face.  Wonder if it was redrawn for more of a Buscema look, perhaps by Sal...

Great picture of a great era of the Avengers.  The lighter line really makes it apparent that the Vision is intangible agains the heavier line used on the others.

Love the Beast's face. Thought the Vision looked different to how you draw him normally JB and then realised he was at maximum density to hold WOnder Man's fist there. Cool.

Edit: Were YJ and Wasp thrown in by you JB or were they requested?

What a great piece! My favorite era of the Avengers.

Wonder Man's best costume in my opinion.

I don't care for the costume, but JB makes almost any outfit look good.

When George Perez first redesigned the costume I was in love with the new one, eventually got used to the safari jacket (I like my heroes in costume) but recently I am all about the original costume. With the right artist even the colors don't bother me.

It made up for last week in a big big way.

Here's hoping John never runs out of requests.

I remember this issue of The Avengers, and Iron Man saying to let them (Wonder Man and Vision)  fight it out.

The real essential Avengers in that commission.

Wow! Excellent...I wish I was the owner!

The big commissions really seem suited for the Avengers. I've really like every one JB has done with them. Makes me consider getting another big commission sooner than I was planning...
