With ASSIGNMENT:EARTH 4 finished, I thought I'd spend a few days on
commissions. Not sure how many.

approx. 11x17 inches

What a cool idea!

Nice to know I'm somewhere in that line, myself, Fred!

It always makes me laugh when I see Bobby throwing snow balls on the original... not very threatening <g>.

I like your 'take' and overall cover very much!

This is exceptional!  Love what you did with the Comics Code stamp and Beast especially.

Great commission idea and execution.

Added for comparison since no one else did:

That's a really interesting idea for a piece, well done to whoever requested that.

Interesting also that JB's X Men, albeit older ones, have more musculature than their Kirby counterparts - something that's usually the other way round.

Let's take a minute to imagine the story behind the cover of that first issue.

The corner box hints they might be in those original costumes for a minute or two on the inside.

Another comment:  normally I would think six figures is too many for an 11x17 but this worked out great (even with the space taken up by the title and corner box...although I guess Kirby gave JB a good model to follow!).
