A sneak peek. Mr. Seven and Ms. Lincoln accompany President Nixon to China. . .

Love the haircut.

JB, your latest work is so cinematic, it seems to me. These could all be great blocked out movie shots!

Funny you should say that, Michael. In the fifth panel I gave Roberta a line
to the effect that she feels like she's riding thru a movie!

And, again coincidentally, on this very page I have Gary Seven explaining to
Roberta just why "Only Nixon could go to China."

Felt the need to do this because a few years back I was dating a very bright
and well informed young woman who tossed off that phrase one day, and I
said "And you know why that was so, right?" To my astonishment, she
replied "Because he'd been elected by a landslide!"

How soon we forget!

In 1964, left-leaning Brazilian President Joao Goulart (Jango) went to China.  Got deposed in absentia.  Twenty years of military regime followed.

How soon we forget!

It had to do with Nixon's staunch anti-Communist stance, didn't it?
