Just read this on the Comics Continuum site in a story about IDW
announcing some new titles.
"Additionally, John Byrne will present a stand-alone Angel mini-series next
year, Angel: Blood and Trenches, telling a tale of Angel's experiences during
World War I."

Wallace - first, smack yourself for not having an interest in Angel.
Done?
'Kay, now make sure you get this series and get yourself interested in Angel because of it.

Is this the first extra info we've seen since JB's sly referneces to it over the last few weeks? World War I - intrigued to see what he comes up with.

Wow... this is my favorite piece of news from a pretty news-laden week. The fact that JB is writing this... I'm just about at a loss for words.

Most exciting news I've read about comics in a long, long time! (And this
from a guy who was thrilled about the Next Men phone books and the
Byrne/Trek stuff!)
WOW. Can't wait!
(By the way, it's always amazed me that this Forum doesn't have it's own
Buffyverse section, since so many of us here including our host love so many
of those characters...)

BUFFY doesn't seem to come up as often as STAR TREK or STAR WARS.

Here's a couple of practise doodles I did, experimenting with leads and
paper.
And, no, neither are supposed to be Angel!

That's a very interesting style you having going there, JB. While I never watched Angel or Buffy, I might give this a try when it comes out.

Silly question, I'm sure:
JB, will this book be accessible to the non-Angel/Buffy viewer?

JB doing an Angel story is good.
JB doing a WWI story is phenomenal.

Never saw an episode of Buffy or Angel in my life, but shooting from the pencils? I'm there!
And WWI, eh? What a good excuse to finally make it happen!

Now, I'd love to see JB tackle at least a single issue of Transformers, which IDW also has the rights to (hint hint)....

Cool.
John Byrne doing a vampire story? Excellent. Now if you just add time travel to it, you have 100% Byrne.
Nice pencils by the way! I like the eyes.

Too Cool!
I love the idea of a comic shot from JB's pencils. EsPECially given the above example.
