I've been waiting a long time for a series shot from JB's pencils.  This should be good.  Will it be in color, or just the straight pencils?

The hope is to do something very, very subtle with the color. Wait and see!
If it works, it will be really neat!

You mean like watercolors effects and such ? Or maybe like those old photos in sepia ? That would be interesting to see...

WOOOO-HOOOOO!!!!!

Now I'm feeling like doing a jig or some such thing. This is just absolutely marvelously fantastic news!

Probably means I should getting around to rewatch the five seasons of Angel like I've been meaning to for quite a while. The occasion seems appropriate enough...

This is very exciting.  As long as JB has been posting his pencils, I too have been waiting (patiently!) to see something of JB's shot from the pencils.

BT, I hope you've read the Captain America issue (available in the War and Remembrance TPB) which is basically just that. Gorgeous stuff!

several of the original CAP pages can be viewed at comiclink.com

NICE work.

I'm very excited about art from John Byrne where he's trying different artistic approaches.

This is very exciting news. I've always wanted to see a full series just shot from JB's pencils.

It certainly wasn't bad, but I felt that the pencils were so darn tight that it looked almost like any issue that JB pencilled and inked himself. I can see that he's going for a different approach this time!

The ANGEL issues most definitely won't look inked. Unless, of course, I
decide this experiment isn't working and end up inking them! If that turns
out to be the case, I'll be trying some other experiments -- dry brush, for
instance.
