Heck, from what I've heard, big Hollywood studios throw around what I consider big money just to option the average screenplay.

Well, I'll join you in that hope, albeit not only to placate your accountant. From what I've seen of them so far, I think they deserve to be a bigger player on the market, and who knows, there presence could then well have some sort of positive effect... perhaps wishful thinking, but they do say that hope is what we abandon last.

Can't see where it would be appropriate. I might not have gone pencils-
only for ANGEL if my story had been set in Present Day. The World War 1
environment seemed to cry out for something "different".
