there will definitely be a second ASSIGNMENT: EARTH series next year.
***
But I want one now! :) Especially after issue three's epilogue.
••
I'll mention again that for future iterations of A:E I plan to do what I did with
GENERATIONS 1 & 2 and cover the same span of time -- roughly 1968 thru
1972 -- without going much, if any, beyond it.

Is the sense that this time-frame mirrors a four year television run?

I like the idea of the series filling in the gaps.
That's what I'm looking forward to the next series. To see how they got the last page of issue 3.

so after the 4th series of Assigment Earth -- can we collect all the issue #1's and have 4 1968 adventures (and so on) with #2s, #3s, etc?

Hey JB,
I'd love to "see" an episode where Gary Seven lost that space doo-hickey of his...

...he relies on it so heavily, might be interesting to see what happens when he can't mind wash people clean -- it would put him in a total underdog position. Might be an interesting tale...

Read STAE4 last night and though it was the best one yet and not just because of the Isis back-up! :)
Only annoying thing was that my trips to my LCS have been infrequent of late and so it's only with this issue that I realise I never got my copy of #3!

This issue made me wonder if the design of the alien ships was a hint
about Isis.

Not intentional. Sometimes a dorsal fin is just a dorsal fin!

Just read it yesterday. I am going to sound repetitive but, like others, I think this is the best issue so far.
There is that feeling I felt when reading the panel where Gary says who those " persons" really. It is a mix of pride, respect, kindness in Gary's body language and the way the sentence through the dialogue is brought on.
Before I follow the series for the artist. Now I start to care for the characters.
And the mini story with Isis.
John, I may be mind reading but I think you are getting more "confortable" with the characters and how to use them.

Thanks, JB.
My cat thinks she's from a planet-conquering race just the same.

••
Usually takes me three issues to "find" a series. This has been so since the
beginning of my career, and even with creator owned stuff. When I finished
the fifth issue of ASSIGNMENT: EARTH I had this pang of wishing it was an
ongoing series, things were clicking so well.
Now, the big test will be if it takes three issues for me to "find" it again
when I do the second series!

You may be digging a bit too hard. The "clue" for Isis comes when Gary's
alien boss turns into the handsome young human male.

Well, definitely more Curtis! But I hope you're not looking for any sort of
sub-text. His story is pretty straightforward -- decent man, wrong place,
wrong time.
You'll be seeing a bit more of the relationship between Roberta and Isis in 5.

Yeah, I just wanted to see how he got to that end scene. Will we see his story to the end? SPOILER End scene: in the uniform. His end: how he became a name on the wall in DCSPOILER

Thanks JB. That's what interested me in the last scene.
