I mentioned in another thread that I'd moved over to Canada and was shipping a lot of my belongings. I arrived here in May and my stuff arrived last Thursday.

The house is now filled with cardboard boxes and I'm still working out where to put things.

Happy to say all my commissions and other JB original art arrived safe and sound:

They all used to be in my upstairs study in England -- although I'd run out of room.

Not quite sure what I'll be doing with them over here, but the liklihood is that I'll be fashioning some kind of mancave in the basement and that's where they'll go.

I'll post more pics when they're up -- still need to get JB's picture of James Bond framed.

One small thing among others that I'll miss from Surbiton, where I lived before, was the guy in the local framers who used to read X-Men and Alpha Flight when he was younger. His face always used to light up as each new commission was brought in for framing and we'd chat about how great comics were when we were kids.

Peter, leave me alone with those for about five minutes and
I'll solve your storage dilemma!

Looks great, Ryan.  Don't know how you're going to get much work done with that in the room.  Good luck!

That's really great!  That would be a perfect piece to hang in a bar area of the house but in the absence of that, directly above the monitor where you get to see it all the time is a nice location!

God, Ryan, that is the picture of money well spent. You own that thing and it is awesome, unique, commissioned by you, and in so many ways a good and really cool thing!

Congrats!

Kind of ironic that one of the main reasons I got this was a bit of celebration in getting a handle on a medical condition that, among other things, doesn't allow me to drink anymore (though I cheat once a month or so with a much-enjoyed single beer if I'm up to it).  :^)

Anyone know a reliable/recommended framer in the Halifax/Dartmouth area in NS?

Peter, search Yelp using the keyword "framing" under Halifax.  There are a couple of businesses listed.  Alternatively, you could try calling an art gallery to see if they could recommend a shop.
