There's so much packed into each panel.

"I HAVE NO MOUTH AND I AM MEAN!!"

How can you read something like that and not want to get the next issue?

I think I may have lifted that phrase from a sci-fi story I read in my teens.
Not 100% sure.

This came out while I was in college. Such memories of this run. I had quit comic books in high school, but when I got to Boston for college, a few other students were reading and talking comics so I got back into it. With Newbury Comics conveniently between my classes and the dorm, it was pretty easy to start reading again. Living in a city without a car was the best excuse wander around that amazing city and to get to know as many Boston book stores that my eyeballs could take.

I hunted for books by JB and when I read She-Hulk i was blown away. As a kid I always read "Mad" and "Cracked" and loved all sorts of comedy, but before this I had not laughed at a comic book. They were very much separate worlds. She Hulk was a revelation - JB, I didn't know had the abiltity to pull this off so well. I should have known from the dashes of humor that gave "Fantastic Four" an essential layer, but this was on the Monty Python level of clever, yet I'm seeing now that there was also a strong story there that was keeping me engaged.

Razorback, one of my favorites. An interesting look mixed with "what were they thinking". I wasn't much of a fan of the "breaking the 4th wall" of the title, but his appearance made sure that I got these issues.
