For whatever reason, it's become kewl to bash Neal as if he's lost a step or two.  The Batman pages I saw were just breathtaking.  His draftsmanship is unparalleled, IMO.  On this particular project I could tell that he was really into it and was having fun and told him so.  He winked at me and said, "Oh, you betcha..!"

Now if only this book, as well as The Rise of Magic, his Two Guys In A Bar graphic novel, the Blood graphic novel, and whatever other pages he's either working on or has lying around could ever be published...

I read that Gene Colan uses a 6B pencil.  Imagine the smudging!

Gene Colan would now doubt use fixative on his pencils.
